Radiohead finally got around to promoting The King of Limbs in America this week by performing on Saturday Night Live, which was hosted by Alec Baldwin. In their first performance on the show since 2000 they played TKOL single ‘Lotus Flower’ and new track ‘Staircase’, which was debuted in the Live From The Basement BBC performance. This marks the start of a busy week for Radiohead, who will be appearing on The Colbert Report‘s first ever hour-long show tomorrow night and playing two night’s at New York’s Roseland Ballroom later this week.

There has been a tonne of Radiohead news over the last week, so let me attempt to catch you up below.
Radiohead will perform four songs on the first ever hour-long episode of The Colbert Report tomorrow night, including unreleased song ‘The Daily Mail’. Stephen Colbert said in a statement:
“I look forward to meeting the Radioheads and leveraging their anti-corporate indie cred to raise brand awareness for my sponsors.”

As well as debuting new electronic material lately, Thom Yorke also announced on Gil Peterson’s BBC Radio 1 show that Atoms For Peace, his side project featuring RHCP-bassist Flea and Radiohead-producer Nigel Godrich, are close to finishing an album.
