Nash Edgerton has crafted himself quite the unique career, moving between stuntwork on the likes of the Matrix and Star Wars films, directing music videos for Bob Dylan, and collaborating with his Blue-Tongue Films collective on various short films, not to mention helming 2008’s impressive neo-noir The Square starring his actor brother Joel. His latest short is Bear, a follow-up of sorts to 2007’s Spider in which Edgerton’s character attempts a romantic prank that goes horribly wrong. This new short, co-written by David Michôd (Animal Kingdom), sees him reprising the role opposite rising actress Teresa Palmer (Wish You Were Here, Warm Bodies), and it’s another hilarious, disturbing and pitch-black comedy that deserves your attention.
