[WATCH] Maurice Sendak’s brilliant appearance on THE COLBERT REPORT

Maurice Sendak, the legendary author and illustrator of children’s literature such as Where the Wild Things Are, appeared on The Colbert Report this week to discuss celebrity authors and Stephen’s ambition to become one. The two-part interview, titled Grim Colberty Tales, was an absolutely hilarious exchange as the no-bullshit 83-year-old author  delivered blunt, cranky answers to everything Colbert threw at him. Colbert was visibly amused, and Sendak made one of the best guests to appear on the show in recent memory. Be sure to watch until the end of part two as he gives his thoughts on e-books!
