[LISTEN] MELODY’S ECHO CHAMBER: ‘Melody’s Echo Chamber’

Parisian dream pop artist (and new indie crush) Melody Prochet will release her self-titled debut LP as Melody’s Echo Chamber next week. Produced by like-minded psych-rocker Kevin Parker of Tame Impala (who also adds his signature spacey guitar sound), Melody’s Echo Chamber is an immensely satisfying and refreshingly warm blend of ’60s psychedelic pop/folk and shoegaze, with mostly indeterminable lyrics sung (or cooed) alternately in French and English and the kind of hazy, floating aesthetic more commonly associated with chillwave acts, and I’m very much digging it. Prochet released the album’s first video recently for the sun-fried single ‘I Follow You’, which is a psychedelic underwater clip starring the singer/songwriter and directed by Laurie Lassalle, and you can also find that below.

Melody’s Echo Chamber is out September 25. Stream it below (via NPR).
