[WATCH] VAMPIRE WEEKEND: ‘Diane Young’ + FALLON, SNL & AMEX performances

Diane Young

Vampire Weekend have finally released the first video from their brilliant new LP, Modern Vampires of the City — my current frontrunner for best album of 2013 — for the manic single ‘Diane Young’. Directed by Primo Khan, the clip continues the group’s tradition of fun, inventive and quirky visuals, finding Ezra Koenig and co. keeping their cool at a debauched Last Supper-esque dinner with the likes of Dave LongstrethSky Ferreira, Santigold, Chromeo and members of The Walkmen in attendance. The group have been busy doing the promo rounds recently — from their amazing Amex UNSTAGED episodes and performance, to great appearances on Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon — and you can find a video wrap-up of these below.

Modern Vampires of the City is out now. Watch the video for ‘Diane Young’ below (via P4K).

Vampire Weekend recently delivered stellar renditions ‘Ya Hey’ and ‘Everlasting Arms’ on Fallon and ‘Diane Young’ and ‘Unbelievers’ on Saturday Night Live, all of which you can catch up on below.

In a stroke of genius, Vampire Weekend enlisted Steve Buscemi to direct their Amex UNSTAGED performance at the Roseland Ballroom which streamed live on YouTube in April. If you missed the performance, hilariously awkward meeting episodes or Fred Armisen-featuring backstage footage you can catch up below.
