A second trailer has arrived for Warm Bodies, the zombie rom-com from Jonathan Levine (50/50, The Wackness). Based on Isaac Marion’s novel of the same name, the film stars Nicholas Hoult (X:Men – First Class) as a zombie who falls for a human girl (Teresa Palmer). John Malkovich also stars as her violently disapproving father, alongside Rob Corddry, Cory Hardrict, Analeigh Tipton and Dave Franco. I have to admit, the prospect of yet another Hollywood zombie flick turned me off this film initially, but Levine has a pretty decent track record and has assembled a promising young cast here, and after seeing this recent trailer I’m starting to think Warm Bodies might have the potential to be next year’s Zombieland.
Warm Bodies opens February 1 in the US, but has unfortunately been delayed until April 11 in NZ. Check out both trailers and posters below (via Rope of Silicon).
