Lena Dunham’s surprisingly controversial HBO show Girls is set to return next month, and our first look at the much anticipated second season surfaced over the weekend. This first trailer gives us a glimpse at where the characters are now following the dramatic season one finale, with Hannah (Dunham) trying to move on from Adam (Adam Driver) despite his obsessive pursuing, Jessa (Jemima Kirke) still married to Thomas-John (Chris O’Dowd), and Marnie (Alison Williams) struggling with being single (and once again being hit on by a sleazy Jorma Taccone). Featuring plenty of quotable lines and soundtrack by Elliie Goulding’s ‘Anything Could Happen’, it looks like more of the same from Dunham which will no doubt excite fans and fuel the haters.
Girls season two premieres on HBO on January 13. Watch the first trailer below (via The Playlist).
