[WATCH] Enticing first trailer for SAVE THE DATE starring Lizzy Caplan & Alison Brie

The first trailer and poster have arrived for Michael Mohan’s indie rom-com Save the Date, which debuted to some strong reviews at Sundance earlier this year. The film stars Lizzy Caplan (Bachelorette, Party Down) and Alison Brie (The Five-Year EngagementCommunity) as a pair of sisters who are total opposites; fiercely independent Sarah (Caplan) dumps her overeager boyfriend Kevin (Geoffrey Arend) after an ill-timed public proposal and rebounds with Jonathan (Mark Webber), while her pragmatic sister Beth (Brie) is busy organising her wedding to Andrew (Martin Starr). Co-written by Mohan (One Too Many Mornings), Egan Reich and graphic novelist Jeffrey Brown (Bighead) and featuring music from Wilco,  One AM Radio, Giorgio Moroder and more, Save the Date looks to be charming and heartbreaking and I’m certainly sold after this promising first trailer.

Save the Date arrives on VOD November 8 and hits theaters in limited release on December 14 in the US. There is no NZ release scheduled as yet. Check out the first trailer and poster below (via The Playlist).
