[WATCH] Will Ferrell & Zach Galifianakis talk THE CAMPAIGN on THE DAILY SHOW

The Campaign co-stars Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis were tonight’s guests on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and they turned what could have been a relatively routine interview into something awkward and hilarious. After Stewart started out with some tired questions, Ferrell and Galifianakis turned on him, prompting Stewart to bring out Mad Men star Jon Hamm to even the fight, and the entire segment was gold. We’ve previously seen a somewhat entertaining trailer for The Campaign which didn’t exactly give me high hopes, but a red-band clip (see below) which surfaced this week is much funnier and has me hoping that the film can live up to the initial expectations that the pairing of these two great comedians set.

Watch Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis on The Daily Show below.

The Campaign is due August 9. Watch a new red-band clip from the film below.

Watch a recent Funny or Die clip in which Ferrell and Galifianakis debate children below.
