[LISTEN] BECK: ‘I Just Started Hating People Today’

While he was in Nashville working on his forthcoming album last year, Beck hooked up with his buddy Jack White to record a new single on Third Man. The 7″ features the new tracks ‘I Just Started Hating Some People Today’ and ‘Blue Randy’, both of which were produced by White. The seemingly old-school country tune ‘I Just Started Hating Some People Today’ surfaced online today, and that’s White’s voice you can hear assisting with “punk vocals” as it devolves into hardcore toward the end. It’s one hell of a weird track, and I’m looking forward to hearing how the B-side turned out. Unfortunately, there’s still no word yet on Beck’s long-awaited follow-up to 2008’s Modern Guilt, so this will have to do in the meantime.
