Prometheus has landed. The full trailer for Ridley Scott’s epic return to the universe of Alien arrived today, after the director premiered it at WonderCon. The trailer caps off a busy day of marketing for the film, which included a wonderful IMAX teaser, a Q&A with actors Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender, and a great viral commercial for the android character played by Fassbender (all of which you can find below). The full trailer is an absolutely stunning and terrifying piece of work, giving us a good idea of the film’s storyline while still leaving plenty more to discover. The scope of this thing is massive – I’ve watched it half a dozen times already – and it’s easily the most exciting and brilliantly-executed trailer since The Dark Knight Rises (your move, Nolan).

Prometheus is due June 8. The film, written by Damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts, stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce, and Patrick Wilson. Watch the full trailer below (via Slashfilm).
