Ang Lee’s 3D adaptation of Life of Pi was released to near-unanimous critical acclaim in the U.S. this week, and it’s looking likely to be a contender at the 2013 Academy Awards. Below you can find a round-up of recent highlights from the marketing campaign, including two slightly different international trailers — which make use of Sigur Rós and Coldplay, and feature a glimpse of Rafe Spall (who replaced Tobey Maguire) — as well as the teaser clip which played ahead of Prometheus overseas, a brief new featurette which features an interview with author Yann Martel, and several impressive new posters. I’ve been excited ever since the lyrical first trailer arrived and everything we’ve seen since continues to look absolutely stunning, so I can’t wait to see the film tonight.
Life of Pi stars Suraj Sharma, Irrfan Khan, Gérard Depardieu, Rafe Spall, Adil Hussain, and Shravanthi Sainath Tabu, and is out now in the US and January 1st in NZ. Check out the recent international trailers, clip, featurette and posters below.
