One of the best documentaries of 2012 — and a highlight of last year’s NZ International Film Festival — was Bart Layton’s The Imposter, which is out today in New Zealand cinemas. The film documents the unbelievable story of French conman Frédéric Bourdin, who managed to convince a grieving Texas family and the authorities that he was their missing 16-year-old son.
