[WATCH] JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE: ‘Suit & Tie’ ft. JAY-Z (Dir. David Fincher)

Suit & Tie

Justin Timberlake has returned to music after a six-year hiatus during which he tried his hand at acting (to middling results), and he’s pulling out all the stops for his much anticipated third solo LP The 20/20 Experience. Teaming up once again with Timbaland, he dropped the first single ‘Suit & Tie’ last month, a super smooth party jam that’s catchy as hell and features an obligatory verse from Jay-Z (the pair performed it at the Grammys this week). JT even managed to bring his The Social Network director David Fincher on board to direct the video, and it’s a glitzy, crisp black-and-white affair that features the singer getting a massage, hitting the studio, smoking and hanging out with Jay-Z, and generally being as cool as all get out, not to mention some slick choreography. It may not be high-concept stuff, but it’s fun regardless and seeing Fincher return to the kind of glossy music video he made his name with for the likes of Madonna all those years ago is pretty awesome.

The 20/20 Experience is out March 19. Watch the video for ‘Suit & Tie’ below.

Timberlake also released a new 8-minute single, ‘Mirrors’, this week. Check it out below.

Fincher never fails to impress – unbelievably precise cinematography in the JT video.
