Neil Young has announced two New Zealand dates for early next year with his legendary backing band Crazy Horse, in support of their massive new double-LP Psychedelic Pill. Young was last here to headline the Big Day Out festival in 2009 — which was an incredible greatest hits set — and this time around he and Crazy Horse will visit both Auckland and Wellington, after having released two new albums together this year (the first being the traditional covers album Americana), not to mention Young’s recent memoir Waging Heavy Peace. Following this announcement, Young has released yet another lengthy and kaleidoscopic clip from Psychedelic Pill, this time for the 28-minute opener ‘Driftin’ Back’, which features early footage of the singer-songwriter and his band amongst the psychedelic imagery.
