DINOSAUR JR. are set to return to Auckland

Influential fuzz-rock icons Dinosaur Jr. have announced that they will return to New Zealand next year for a one-off Auckland show in March in support of their pretty great new LP I Bet On Sky — the third impressive release in a row from J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph since the trio reunited in 2005. The group last visited our shores for an ear-blistering set at Auckland’s Studio in 2007 following the release of Beyond, and I’m rather excited to hear tracks off 2009’s even-better Farm this time around, not to mention highlights from the new album such as the melodic single ‘Watch the Corners‘. Don’t forget to bring your earplugs!
