Neil Young & Crazy Horse are set to release Psychedelic Pill — their second album of 2012 following Americana, and their first LP of original material since 2004’s Greendale — later this week, but you can now stream the entire thing over at his website for the price of an email address. On first listen the double-LP is an epic journey and strong return to form; infinitely more enjoyable than their previous effort. The legendary singer-songwriter and his beloved backing band have steadily been releasing promotional videos over the past month, including a black-and-white montage of historical icons for the 16-minute album track ‘Walk Like a Giant’ (cut down to 4:30 here), another archival clip with kaleidoscopic designs for the 17-minute psych-rock odyssey ‘Ramada Inn’, and a grainy new video for the nostalgic ‘Twisted Road’ which references Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, and the Grateful Dead. Check out all three of these clips below, and be sure to take a listen to Psychedelic Pill.
Psychedelic Pill is out October 30, and you can stream it here. Watch the video for ‘Twisted Road’ below.
