[WATCH] Irreverent trailer for animated doco A LIAR’S AUTOBIOGRAPHY: THE UNTRUE STORY OF MONTY PYTHON’S GRAHAM CHAPMAN

The first trailer and poster have hit for A Liar’s Autobiography: The Untrue Story of MONTY PYTHON’S Graham Chapman, which is based on Chapman’s 1980 book of the same name. Produced and directed by Bill Jones, Ben Timlett and Jeff Simpson, this irreverent documentary utilises 17 different animation styles from 14 animation studios and features contributions from every surviving Python member aside from Eric Idle, as well as readings from Chapman which were recorded before he passed away in 1989. Billed as “the greatest film I’ve been in since I died” – Graham Chapman, this hilarious (and NSFW) trailer promises a fittingly odd and wonderfully exaggerated account of the life of this comic genius, and it looks like terrific fun. A Liar’s Autobiography debuts this weekend at the Toronto International Film Festival, and will be available in “lewd, crude” 3D.

A Liar’s Autobiography opens November 2 in the US and UK. Check out the first trailer and poster below (via The Playlist).
