A final trailer was released this week for Laika’s 3D stop-motion zombie comedy ParaNorman, ahead of its US release yesterday. We’ve already seen several great trailers for Sam Fell and Chris Butler’s film, but this final one differentiates itself with an entertainingly creepy voiceover from John Goodman. ParaNorman — which follows the story of a boy (Kodi Smit-McPhee) who can speak to the dead, and becomes his town’s only hope when a witch’s curse raises the dead — is already getting some of the strongest reviews of the year, and I can’t wait to see it. The film’s release was celebrated by Mondo recently, who created six awesome posters which can also be found below.
ParaNorman is out now in the US, and its voice cast also includes Jeff Garlin, Anna Kendrick, Casey Affleck, Leslie Mann, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Elaine Stritch, and Tucker Albrizzi. New Zealand audiences will have to endure a lengthy wait, as it’s scheduled for a January 17, 2013 release. Watch the final trailer below (via Slashfilm).
