The first full trailer has just been released for Sam Mendes’ upcoming James Bond film Skyfall, following an excellent teaser trailer and a flurry of Bond activity over the weekend – notably Daniel Craig’s appearance in character with the Queen at the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony and a new TV spot which aired during the broadcast. The new trailer – released as two slightly different cuts for international and US audiences – gives us our first look at a blond, and very creepy, Javier Bardem as the film’s villain. We also get our first look at Ben Whishaw, who looks very promising as the new Q, as well as hints of the new Bond girls played by Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe, and there’s a Mission: Impossible-esque plot revelation regarding a missing list of undercover agents. Skyfall continues to look terrific, and I can’t wait to see Bardem take on 007 in what promises to be one of the best (if not the best) Bond films yet.
Skyfall hits European theaters October 26, US on November 9, and New Zealand on November 22. The 23rd Bond film stars Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory, Naomie Harris, Ola Rapace, Berenice Marlohe and Rory Kinnear.
