[WATCH] JAMES MURPHY talks SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS on FALLON

Former LCD Soundsystem mastermind James Murphy stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night to discuss the documentary Shut Up and Play the Hits, which hits US theatres next week and will screen at the upcoming 2012 New Zealand International Film Festival. Murphy recounted a fascinating story about how he almost wrote for Seinfeld, spoke about the film and his decision to end LCD Soundsystem, and then joined house band The Roots on guitar to jam on the Talking Heads track ‘Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes On)’ to the delight of everyone watching (including guest Elijah Wood).
