[LISTEN] FIONA APPLE: ‘Werewolf’

Fiona Apple’s long-awaited new LP The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do is finally set to be released later this month, and so far we’ve heard the great single ‘Every Single Night‘. Today a second track from the album, ‘Werewolf’, surfaced online, and it’s a terrific piano ballad featuring the kind of wonderfully verbose lyrics we expect from her by now, as well as a disarming sample of some children’s playful screams which drift in about 2 minutes through. For more on the song, check out Apple’s recent interview with Pitchfork.

The Idler Wheel is due June 26. Listen to ‘Werewolf’ below (via P4K).
