[LISTEN] LEONARD COHEN: ‘Going Home’ + Watch CULTS cover ‘Everybody Knows’

Almighty Canadian wordsmith Leonard Cohen will release his new album Old Ideas at the end of the month, and today we were treated to another new track, titled ‘Going Home’. The song’s lyrics were printed as a poem in this week’s issue of The New Yorker, and the track is another good indication of how strong Old Ideas is sounding, following the excellent ‘Show Me the Place’ and ‘Darkness’. Speaking of Cohen, a clip surfaced online today of New York indie-pop stars Cults adeptly covering his bleak 1989 track ‘Everybody Knows’ at a recent show in Philadelphia. Some may remember the song from the 1990 cult flick Pump Up the Volume, starring Christian Slater.

Old Ideas is due January 31. Listen to ‘Going Home’ below (via The New Yorker).
