[WATCH] LANA DEL REY on SNL: ‘Video Games’ + ‘Blue Jeans’

Continuing her meteoric rise to fame, Lana Del Rey made her American TV debut on Saturday Night Live tonight, performing two songs on the Daniel Radcliffe-hosted episode. She performed the singles ‘Video Games’ and ‘Blue Jeans’, in support of her forthcoming album Born to Die, becoming the first artist since Natalie Imbruglia (in 1998) to perform on SNL prior to the release of a major label debut LP. As far as debut’s go, it could have gone much better for Del Rey. Her nerves and SNL‘s notoriously poor sound did not make for a great mix, and her rendition of ‘Video Games’ in particular was pretty disastrous. Del Rey will perform on the Late Show with David Letterman on February 2, and on Ellen later that month, and let’s hope for her sake she fares better then.
