[LISTEN] LEE RANALDO: ‘Off The Wall’

With Sonic Youth on hiatus, likely indefinitely following Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon’s split, guitarist Lee Ranaldo is set to release his first proper singer-songwriter album. Between the Time and the Tides is due March 20, and the first single, ‘Off the Wall’, was released today. The track sounds about as late-80s guitar indie as you might expect, and features a fine pedigree of talent, including Wilco’s lead guitar extraordinaire Nels Cline, acid jazz/jam titan John Medeski, and Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley and producer John Agnello.

Listen to ‘Off the Wall’ below (via Stereogum).
