Mike O’Brien’s awkward web series 7 MINUTES IN HEAVEN is comedy gold

Mike O’Brien, a writer for Saturday Night Live, launched an awkward and hilarious web series a few months back called 7 Minutes in Heaven. It’s comparable to Zach Galifianakis genius series Between Two Ferns, in that it features uncomfortable interviews with celebrities who play along. In O’Brien’s series the interviews take place in a tight closet space, features silly improvs and ends with an incredibly uncomfortable kiss. So far the series has featured such notable guests as Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), Elijah Wood (Wilfred), Patricia Clarkson (Friends With Benefits), Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation), Christina Ricci (Pan Am) and Tracy Morgan (30 Rock). The most recent interview with Morgan’s 30 Rock co-star Jack McBrayer is one of the best so far, as McBrayer is just as willing to commit to the silliness as the host.
